Review content:
This is a few years old but I thought I would share. I went to Murphy's based on reviews from Click & Clack (the radio program). The owner greeted me, was upfront about inspection/diagnoses costs and even arranged for transportation. They were a little more expensive but seemed to do reputable work, and I took my car back several times. The last time I took it in to find the cause of a shimmy in the steering expecting just a front end alignment. They called back later that day, said they couldn't find anything wrong but noticed that my tires were dry rotting and needed to be replaced. The tires were three years old and less than 40k miles. I take my car to automotive experts mostly because I lack the tools not because I'm dumb about cars. I've never gone back. I knew they were pulling a fast one on me. BTW, I kept those tires for another 3 years and another 40k miles. I hate when people perceive ignorance and try to take advantage.
