Review content:
My first time at The Belmont was a fabulous experience. Brought me back to my years of living in New York. It has that skwanky flair of sophistication in the midst of Austin's laidback 6th street. To eat, I had ""The Belmont Burger"", which to my surprise was not all that expensive and incredibly tasty. The service was quick and friendly...My only complaint/question was, Why the heck was their a line in the middle of the downstairs patio bar...to get upstairs to the balcony? I understand it could get crowded up there, but the chaotic traffic that builds in the middle of the downstairs area was completely distracting and took away from the overall ambiance. The stairs should have been placed in the back rather than plopped in the mid section of the bar as you first enter...but that's just me being picky. Other than that...if you like to dress up, have a little extra cash in your pocket to spend...this would be a great place to wine and dine your friends.
Pros: Good Eats
Cons: Another line in the middle of the bar, to get up to the balcony section
