I was given a gift certificate for a facial to this place and was really looking forward to it. The website had me looking forward to being pampered ala celebrity style (many celebrities were name-dropped on their website. Needless to say, i was disappointed. I arrived about 30 minutes early, was brought back to a cold, dark waiting room with cheap slipcovers falling off of the matching sofas, an amateur sponge-painting job on the walls and a cup of luke-warm inexpensive tea (in a paper cup... in my beloved green Portland!) By arriving early, I had hoped to relax in a robe and slippers but one was never offered to me and there was never anyone around for me to ask. About five minutes _after_ my appointment was supposed to start, I went to the front desk and asked if they knew the status of my appointment, she responded "oh, she should be done soon." Finally someone came and got me and took me into the treatment room. It was very cluttered looking and the choice of teal sponge-painted walls with matching cheap wall sconces didn't give me the feeling of "luxury." The facialist was good - she did a great job actually. But I must say that the ambiance leaves much to be desired and I'm certain that the celebrites mentioned on their website never returned. Pros: Great facialist Cons: Ambiance leaves MUCH to be desired
