Review content:
My boyfriend and I were looking to adopt a dog this new year and came across Carroll County Humane Society and decided to take a look at what animals they had up for adoption.
Stepping foot in this shelter was the WORST decision we ever made. This was the most rude, unfriendly, uneducated, judgmental staff of people I've ever encountered at any shelter.
We were going through the process of beginning to adopt one of the dogs we were fond of, and immediately were discouraged, insulted and judged by our decision when we were making the adoption final.
They refused to let us walk the dog and be with it alone by ourselves because our time in the back room we had with the dog for 10 minutes ""was enough."" Unbelievable. Just the most terrible experience.
We let they know how we felt and we left without so much as a thank you and declined the adoption.
DO NOT GO HERE TO ADOPT AN ANIMAL. We went to The Humane Society of Baltimore County and found our dream dog and had a very positive experience. I would recommend there any day over this place.
