As already mentioned in other reviews, the Bellaire Broiler Burger is a fixture as the best burger institution not only for Bellaire, but also for the entire Houston area. Most average restaurants have to rely on their immediate neighborhoods to supply them with customers because their food is good, but not unique, memorable or lacks the ""wow"" factor. Not so with the Bellaire BB! People will drive for miles to get to one of those oozy, charbroiled, fixin' packed burgers! The place is regularly packed with vintaged patrons and signature grill smoke. One of my many blessings in life was growing up two blocks away from the Broiler Burger and practically being weaned on the ""Bellaire Special"" and the crispy krinkle cut fries! And although I am now 46 and live 25 miles away, I regularly find myself with that burning craving in the pit of my stomach and the unexplainable urge to drive to Bellaire! If you need a burger joint with contemporary decor, a waitstaff and a perfect grill ventilation system... go elsewhere. If you want a timeless juicy taste to your burger, a dark, unchanged retro decor and are willing to wait 10-15 minutes for the perfect burger to be cooked, then welcome to the Bellaire Broiler Burger! WARNING!!! Once you've had the Bellaire Broiler Burger experience, you'll have to fight the same primal urges as mentioned above!
