My son, Alex, was having a terrible time in the 8th grade in reading and math. We did everything the school recommended, but it wasn't helping...I finally went to Sylvan. It was February and I was afraid they weren't going to be able to help him fast enough. I met with the Directo, and she got Alex tested and into a personalized program right away...Within weeks Alex started feeling confident about reading and math and loved going to the center every week to work with his Sylvan teachers. Alex went from being distracted and confused in school to being confident and focused on his work. Finally, as Alex was finishing his Sylvan program I got his progress report from school. Alex was getting mostly A's and B's! I couldn't believe it. I was hoping for C's and maybe a few B's and praying for no D's or F's. Alex's progress report surpassed my expectations. Thanks to Sylvan Alex is going much better in school and he is happy and confident
