Sylvan Learning Center

My son Austin has been attending the Sylvan Learning Center for less than 1 year. He is attending the reading program. The time he has been attending the center has changed Austin in so many ways, he has improved his grades all together...his report card was amazing. Austin is now completing his school work and reading books. Before he attended the program, Austin refused to read or even pick up a book. The other night was kinda amazing and funny, Austin asked if he could get $0.50 from me. I asked, ""What do you need it for?"" He said, ""I want to buy a newspaper."" He walked in to the store and came back with a newspaper. He sat down and began to read the paper. I want to thank the staff and the teachers for all their time that they have put towards my child! Sylvan makes a big difference in a child's life. more

Our daughter, Cami, struggled a lot before going to Sylvan. Now she's making near perfect scores on everything she does. As a result of the help she received at Sylvan Learning Center, her entire attitude towards school has changed and her success has given her a confidence that has made her a much happier child in every respect. more

Having my daughter attend Sylvan has been one of the best decisions I've ever made for her with regard to her education. She is filling in the learning gaps, is more confident (and patient) with the process of learning, and no longer resistent to studying because she likes knowing the answers and understanding what is being asked of her. When we drive by Sylvan on our off days, she actually wants me to pull off the road and bring her to Sylvan anyway! I recommend the Sylvan experience to everyone I know with children! more

My son, Alex, was having a terrible time in the 8th grade in reading and math. We did everything the school recommended, but it wasn't helping...I finally went to Sylvan. It was February and I was afraid they weren't going to be able to help him fast enough. I met with the Directo, and she got Alex tested and into a personalized program right away...Within weeks Alex started feeling confident about reading and math and loved going to the center every week to work with his Sylvan teachers. Alex went from being distracted and confused in school to being confident and focused on his work. Finally, as Alex was finishing his Sylvan program I got his progress report from school. Alex was getting mostly A's and B's! I couldn't believe it. I was hoping for C's and maybe a few B's and praying for no D's or F's. Alex's progress report surpassed my expectations. Thanks to Sylvan Alex is going much better in school and he is happy and confident more

My husband and I sent our daughter, Andrea, to Sylvan because at the time she was a Junior in High School and failing algebra. She always had problems in math and any tutoring we provided did not help. We finally called Sylvan and from the moment we walked in we felt it would be a positive outcome. The staff was extremely professional and put my daughter's mind at ease right away. They explained math in a way that made sense to her. They not only gave her the confidence in math but in learning in general. Her whole attitude about school changed overnight. She received her first B in Algebra which was way beyond our expectations. I know it was because of the things she learned at Sylvan and the positive experience she had. more
