Review content:
I got a coupon mailer to service my gas furnace and A/C. I decided to go and get the service done. The guy comes in a uniform cleans up my A/C and furnace and mentions that there are cracks in the heat exchanger of the gas furnace and says it's advised that the furnace needs to be replaced. I ask for a quote and another guy comes in and checks out all the vents and quotes me $3000 for a new furnace with the same efficiency or $1000 for replacing the heat exchanger. I decide to get another quote and get it checked with another contractor. The other contractor mentions that he cannot find any cracks in my heat exchanger and don't need anything and does a CO test which comes out negative. I call my gas company to confirm to see if it was safe to operate the furnace. The gas company inspects the furnace, says that there is no need to replace the furnace. I get a customer survey mailer and give me them a bad review. Somebody from the company calls me back and says they are going to open the heat exchanger and show the cracks to me. I tell them it's not required and the guy calls me rude as he can't digest the negative review. These guys are a big scam. They look professional but don't act professional and cannot take any negative comments.BTW, the quote for a new furnace including installation was $1800 that was quoted by a different reputable contractor. Also, replacing the heat exchanger only costs $200 according to my neighbour who had the same issue.
