Review content:
I was walking down Manhattan Avenue last night after a long day of Xmas shopping in Manhattan. I was pretty hungry and wasn't in the mood to cook, but also didn't want to spend a lot of money. I wandered in to Christina's shortly before 9pm, which is just about closing time. The waitress was super friendly, first greeting me in Polish, but quickly realizing I would need the English menu. She pointed out the specials and even helped me choose 2 sides. In fifteen minutes I was home eating my hearty tasty warm meal of Chicken Cutlet with mushrooms, mashed potato and cucumber salad, all for $9. I had such a nice experience, especially after a few hours in Soho and considering I just moved to Greenpoint from Park Slope, that my boyfriend and I went back for breakfast today. I'm looking forward to exploring the many other local, inexpensive home cooking in the neighborhood. I would recommend this spot for all in the neighborhood.
Pros: Inexpensive home cooking, friendly welcoming staff, great for locals
Cons: rustic ambience but it adds to the charm
