Since I became a member of the Portland Directbuy (formerly United Consumers Club & UCC Total home) the service has gone from bad to horrible. Notably since 1996 when the current owner took over. What might appear to be good values purchased through DirectBuy , often isn't that great. The savings they pitch are off manufacture suggested retail prices. But as a quick Google search will show, that?s not the price you will typically have to pay from a traditional retail source. And if you want to order online, in a lot of cases you can do almost as well from a reputable web-store.
Pros: small cost savings
Cons: paynow & wait /time delays /poor service & customer suport
