I would not recommend this OB/GYN to anyone. She was on call when I went into labor (not my normal dr). The first time I showed up at the hospital she sent me home, likely because it was 7pm and she didn't want to be up all night delivering a baby. I ended up going back to the hospital the next morning and my baby, that was head down the night before, was now transverse. They had to stop my contractions and manually turn him head down. If she would've let me stay the first night that I came, this wouldn't have happened. Since they had to stop my contractions they had to give me pitocin to start the contractions back up again. I was in labor for a total of 37 hours. Also, while I was pushing she came to me and said that my baby was in distress and that I needed to try harder to push him out or he wasn't going to make it. After he was born I questioned her about his status and she admitted that she only told me that so that I would try harder, and in fact there had never been any signs of distress with my baby. A bit before it came time to push a nurse told me to stop pushing the epidural button so that I would be able to feel how much I needed to push. Well, it made the epidural completely wear off. So by the time I got to pushing I could feel everything. I ended up tearing up and down. I knew when I tore up because I could feel it, and I screamed. Dr Chouteau then told me not to scream and to save my energy for pushing. Stupid bitch. If you could feel yourself tear up you would scream too.
