Review content:
I found this company recommended online. When Mike came to do the estimate, he was on time, professional, friendly, & gave us the lowest estimate by far, even without requiring an exact number of boxes. It seemed too good to be true but the estimate was binding, so we went with them. The 3 young guys (no Mike) arrived on time on moving day, all very friendly & professional as well. It soon became clear that Mike had underestimated how much space we'd need in the truck; once the truck was full, we were told there was nothing they could do about the rest. We had to bring an entire trailer-full of stuff ourselves. The next AM when they dropped our stuff off, I started to get upset as they were bringing in furniture & boxes & putting them wherever they felt like. After they left, we spent days just rearranging things from where they dropped them so that we could start unpacking. They lost a leg to my bed, brought my mattress in snagged & with dirty hand print on it, and brought a lamp in with a huge dent on it & the pin missing to turn it on. (They did go back & search the truck & found the pin & the bed leg.) We had gone with the $.60-per-lb insurance. When everything was unpacked, I found that nearly EVERY piece of wooden furniture had was scratched or gouged. They had broken a brand new fan as well as one of my tvs. I wanted to be reasonable, so I claimed 3 things only - the fan, the tv (which was a 27"" tv/vcr combo of the old-school ""box"" kind. it was huge), & also a $300 tv stand with several large gouges out of it. After weeks of ""processing"", I received a check in the mail for less than what I claimed, with a note that the tv was not 50 lbs as I claimed but instead 25. I felt outraged that they were telling me how much my tv weighed & undercut my damages amt. The note also stated that this was their ""final"" offer. Also - the guys ASKED me to write them a review so they could win a company contest. So I question how many of these positive reviews were genuine.
