I was referred to Dr. Richards' practice in Bethesda by someone who had gotten liposuction there and was very pleased with the results. I had been considering doing something about the excess skin and fat around my middle for years, but wasn't sure I wanted something ""radical"" and was generally afraid of surgery.
So I met Dr. Richards and was very impressed by his knowledge, professionalism and very pleasant style. He took his time to thoroughly explain several different options, and I felt absolutely no pressure to make a decision.
I decided to go with the mini tummy tuck option, with muscle tightening. The experience was as positive as it could be, and the staff at both the office and the Suburban Outpatient Surgery Center were amazing. I do want to say that tummy tucks (even a mini) are not pain free, and you definitely need someone at home to care for you for a couple days after the surgery. I spoke by phone to Dr. Richards in those few hours and days of recovery after the surgery and he was very responsive to all my concerns and questions, as was his office staff.
I am now 3 months post surgery and very pleased with the results - no more rolls of fat!. I am very glad I did this. My stomach has returned to pre-pregnancy days. I would highly recommend Dr. Richards to anyone considering cosmetic surgery.
