I was referred to Dr. Richards' practice in Bethesda by someone who had gotten liposuction there and was very pleased with the results. I had been considering doing something about the excess skin and fat around my middle for years, but wasn't sure I wanted something ""radical"" and was generally afraid of surgery. So I met Dr. Richards and was very impressed by his knowledge, professionalism and very pleasant style. He took his time to thoroughly explain several different options, and I felt absolutely no pressure to make a decision. I decided to go with the mini tummy tuck option, with muscle tightening. The experience was as positive as it could be, and the staff at both the office and the Suburban Outpatient Surgery Center were amazing. I do want to say that tummy tucks (even a mini) are not pain free, and you definitely need someone at home to care for you for a couple days after the surgery. I spoke by phone to Dr. Richards in those few hours and days of recovery after the surgery and he was very responsive to all my concerns and questions, as was his office staff. I am now 3 months post surgery and very pleased with the results - no more rolls of fat!. I am very glad I did this. My stomach has returned to pre-pregnancy days. I would highly recommend Dr. Richards to anyone considering cosmetic surgery. more

After spending months researching practically every doctor in the washington dc area and viewing numerous pre/post op photos of breast augmentations online, I knew without a doubt Dr. Richards would do the best job. I decided I wanted to be enhanced but still be natural looking (most other doctors had varied results and were nowhere near the natural look I was going for). I highly recommend taking a look at the photo galleries on Dr. Richard's website. The results were 100% consistent and they all looked incredibly natural. His credentials were also very impressive and made me feel comfortable enough to trust him with my surgery. more

After 4 kids (including a set of twins), I was ready to continue my post-breeding life with a body similar to my pre-children days. I work out quite a bit, but had some stubborn lower abdominal fat I could not get rid of. Enter Dr. Richards. After a little bit of lipo and a breast augmentation, I look better than ever. My waist is as small as it's ever been, and my breast augmentation looks extremely natural. Amazingly, the procedures were nearly pain free. I had a very swift recovery and am extremely pleased with the results. Dr. Richards and his staff are very professional and excellent communicators. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. His fees were also lower than many of the other doctors I had visited. more
