Bernie recommended that I try the Boston Braid when I told him that I wanted to make another French Braid quilt. The Boston Braid is in the book French Braid Obsession (which he carries). This quilt calls for 4 small and 4 large braids around an 8 1/2 inch center square --- the medallions that he has work perfectly. The braids consist of 9 colors and the rest of the quilt is made of small and large unpieced borders. Bernie went out of his way to help me choose the materials. The finished quilt is lovely and now my husband wants another one!
