I've been to Firefly in the past and enjoyed it with two friends. Have some friends coming to town this weekend and wanted to take them with other LA peeps so they could check it out. I called Wednesday to make a reservation for Saturday and was told by Iris that they don't take reservations for 8 people. I was so shocked by her reply that I let it go. But then after the call, I thought to myself WHAT??? Why would a restaurant turn down a reservation because it's for 8 people??? So I called back to make sure I had it clear. This time I spoke with Marie who gave a better explanation. Apparently they don't do reservations for more than 8 because they only have three tables that can accommodate 8 people. This Saturday when I want to go, they already had five reservations for their 8 top tables. Soooooo... If you want to go to Firefly, keep your group compact or call waaaaay in advance to get your reservation because they DON'T do big groups.
Pros: Nice bar/lounge area. Restaurant is dark and vibey.
Cons: Not for big groups
