I had this place recommended to me by a friend who lives in Longview. When I first arrived at the Golden Palace I was unsure what to expect. It's located in a little strip mall in a little town and the outer appearance blends in with the rest of the town, which is to say a tad run down.
All of that changed when I went inside. The decor was nice and the wait staff helpful, but real plus of this establishment was the food. The portions were large, the prices reasonable and the taste was outstanding!
Having been to Hong Kong and China I can assure you that the food, while not completely un-Americanized, is on a par with what you would get in Asia.
The bottom line here is there is a reason the Golden Palace is a local favorite. It's damned good.
