I've had the displeasure of dealing with Island Rescue for many years. I go to them when I'm in a bind and can't see my regular vet when he is either on vacation or the wait list is too long.
Be prepared to wait anywhere from 15-20 min on hold to book an appointment. When they do finally answer your call, they treat you as if they are doing you some sort of favor.
I only take my animals for vaccinations. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT allow medical staff to evaluate your animals condition. They are usually incorrect or tell you ""I'm not exactly sure"". Let's perform some tests or get some x-rays and take it from there.
Unreal. Don't go ...AVOID like the plague. My regular vet at Amityville Animal Hosp is always a pleasure.
