Response As the manager in the 8/09 review, I feel there needs to be some clarification. When I asked what was wrong with the groom, it was to be able to understand how the problem could be fixed. For example, if the coat was left too long, it could be shortened, but if too short, there is not much room to work with. I asked her to bring the pet back in, but she said she was trimming the ears herself. I remember our conversation very well. I was not here and did not see Bentley after the groom, but told Ms Couch that the staff said another client in the reception area remarked that she thought the dog was cute. I was not trying to defend the groom since I had not seen it myself. Ms Couch went on to say our location was too far for her to travel and she would be going elsewhere for everything. I even have that noted in the chart. It was at the end of our conversation that I offered to forward her medical recomds to another veterinarian since she had said she would need to find someone closer and grooming facilities require vaccine history. It was not meant to drive her away or upset her. There was road construction that day and she decided to take a detour home to avoid the delay. The groomer was an experienced groomer, but we did not hire her based on this experience.
