Review content:
My 67 yr old mom got really sick at the beginning of 2010, with early onset dementia and renal failure, possibly as a result of adult onset diabetes. We tried a number of therapeutic environments before settling in on Clove Lakes last October, on the advice of several friends. Their dialysis program is top notch, and my mom stopped having problems with fluid overload and hyperkalemia under their expert care. Her mood has improved as well which we attribute to a caring nursing staff and engaging recreation programs, and trips to their onsite greenhouse/aviary. While their food isn't the fine dining my mom once enjoyed, it is above average. I've eaten it and it really isn't typical institutionalized fare. She still has her fair share of rough bad days, but I am confident that the well trained staff will do right by her. Nobody wants to have to put their loved ones into any nursing facility, but I am happy that she is in great hands.
