I live in Rhode Island but go to school in Maine and I went into star nails for a fill. From the second I got there they treated me poorly. When the man finally got around to doing my nails he kept shaking his head at me and yanking my hands around like I was never in the right position. Once he had to use the drill I started to feel this burning pain coming from my fingers. He cut at least two fingers on each hand! They had poor color choices and when I asked to get a french manicure with colored tips he looked at me like I was crazy. When he had finished painting my nails and I was waiting for them to dry I realized that not only were they still in pain, but where he had filled it in my nails were purple looking. He saw that I was looking at them and kept repeating that it wasn't his fault and that it was because of the people who had put on my nails in the first place. Now I am stuck with and overpriced set of nails that still hurts after hours have gone by, and uneven color to top it off. I don't think this man should be allowed to do nails anymore, especially since I am not the first one to have this experience and since the owner has had complaints against him before. Avoid this place at all costs!
