Review content:
My girls cheered with the unhappy mom's girls below and she was ALWAYS AT THE GYM! The rest of us dropped off/picked up our girls, but she watched every minute of practice and tumbling class. Her daughters were on multiple cheer squads plus a dance squad, plus tumbling, so we are talking 10-12 hours a week she was sitting at the gym. Then she got on the executive board and you wondered if she had a real home. She was always crying to anyone who would listen ""what more do I have to do for this gym before the owners move my girls up..."" She was always threatening to go to another gym if her girls didn't get on the right squad in the right role... I know the owners and they are wonderful people. One girl had a parent pass away during the season, and the owners covered the girls cheer costs for the rest of the season so she could still cheer. They are salt of the earth people. Generous. Loving. They personally call each child by name and that's saying something in a gym with more than 500 girls. It's not about the money, it's about what the girls become. It's about teaching the girls that they can't always be the star, and how to get along on a team. I am certain finally telling the unhappy mom to go ahead and go was not an easy choice for the owners. I hope the unhappy mom is finally happy in her new gym. I wonder if she will ever be happy anywhere. I hope so for her family's sake.
