Review content:
I have just moved to St. Louis and so my family and I thought to eat some south Indian food. I will be blunt and brief here. The dosas were thick and a bit uncooked from the inside. The sambhar was watery like soup and not flavorful-just stingy on the lentils and no veggies in at all?Now to the chutneys: we did not even try except for the nariyal(coconut) which was over spiced up. The uttapam was thick and uncooked from middle along with being burnt at a few places. So we decided to order Muglai food from the menu...I know what you are thinking ordering north Indian food from the south Indian restaurant where the uttapam, dosas, and sambhar are not good, but we were hungry. Got the chicken makhani thali. The saving grace for my stomach was that at least I was able to enjoy the nans and raita the rest of the thali was not good. They were not even able to make even a proper dal(lentils) which they watered down and added too much garlic and ginger. The host, waiters and other staff were not hospitable, not inviting, just plain impersonal. Give them your cash and that is it?This is one place that we will never go again.
Pros: seated promptly
Cons: not authentic food from the southern or northern India, impersonal staff
