One of the worst Thai food and dining experiences I have ever had . The Thai food here is at best bland and most disturbing was the restaurants lack of concern for sanitation and the quality of the food. I ordered Pad Ke Mao. While eating the ok dish, I ate a strong bite of MOLD. Gave it another chance, ate a few more bites before I ate another strong bite of MOLD. I have never tasted mold that strong in food and within 10 seconds of examining the dish I saw a lot of the beansprouts were green tipped with visible MOLD. I segregated one beansprout and not wanting to embarrass the server brought the dish towards the kitchen. Once the server came out of the kitchen I said "" hey I was eating this and tasted two big bites of mold and I can see it's the beansprouts. I think they are going bad like this one here."" The first thing she said is "" we don't take food back that's our policy"" and she would not take the plate away from me and left me standing there. I said it wasn't a big deal but there was no way I was going to eat anymore of it. She took the dish and said ""you still need to pay"" I went and sat down at the table again, still hungry thinking, ""why would I pay for food that was inedible?"" So when we went up to the counter and I said ""I really couldn't eat that food because of the mold, it doesn't seem fair to have to pay for it"" She said "" only a little mold, you pay"" Only a little mold??? I was amazed how unapologetic she was! Just trying to keep it low key and she was acting like we had done something wrong. THEN she went to the back got my quarter eaten dish and said "" you show me more mold"" I was not going to dig through that plate to show her the mold. She ended up taking off $5 and definitely lost a customer for a lifetime. Disgusting. Take responsibility. Not to mention sprouts are associated with multiple outbreaks of harmful bacteria like salmonella or the toxic forms of Escherichia coli.
