My wife and I moved into the home we are in at this time approximately two and one half months ago. At that time we saw that there was an alarm system in the house already, so we contacted Savoie Security about activating their system. Their serviceman came out and attempted to connect the system but there was a problem so he had to return another day. This time he still had a problem so he called for assistance. Together he and his manager worked on the system and finally declared it to be working properly. The serviceman was the last to leave and he explained how the alarm worked, which was very confusing. It had many different ways to log in and out, so my wife and I never turned it on for fear of setting in an alarm. About a week passed and we finally got a call from someone stating that they were getting a low battery signal. It was explained to that person that we did not know why we were getting a low battery signal since we never turned the system on and we would like to have someone come out and check the system. They lady said that it would cost me $75.00 for someone to come out and check the system. I told her that we had never used the system and had no knowledge as to why the battery was being drained and that we were not going to pay for something that we never used. No one ever came to check the system. About two weeks passed and we received another call stating that they were getting a low battery indication. Again I asked for them to send someone out to check it. Again no one came to check the system. The third time I received a call I told the man that called that I wanted to cancel the contract and he told me that the contract was for two (2) years and I could not cancel it. At that I told him that I would not pay for a bad system and that the company could do whatever they wanted to do. Today (11-25-2011) I received another call from another lady telling me that they had received another indication of a low battery and again I explained one more time the situation. This is the worse service company I have ever dealt with.
