Review content:
I am a local English teacher in the Beaverton district and multiple of my students enrolled this fall at Forte Music School. The Forte approach to ""literacy"" within music amazed me when I first learned of it (reading, writing and speaking/improvising); now I witness its powerful effects firsthand. One of my thirteen-year-old male students struggles in his reading and writing in the academic classroom. However, at Forte, he finds great success in this other, different type of literacy. At Forte, the teachers are not only highly qualified musicians, but are also passionate about kids. I love this new approach to teaching music!
