I went to Mastro's a couple weeks ago to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends. I've been to the Mastro's in Beverly Hills and expected the same level of service at the Newport Beach location but was highly disappointed. The waiter was SUPER SLOW in taking our order. It took him about an hour and a half to take our order and then another hour or so for our food to come out. We arrived at about 8pm and the restaurant was not packed so there was really no excuse for the service to be so slow. We waited so long that several of the people went outside to smoke while we waited inside for them to see that we were all ready to order. Regardless, the steaks and sides we ordered were good, as well as the nice dessert they brought out for my birthday. Only suggestion to them is to be more ATTENTIVE!
