Chef Gatsby's brilliance is in the details. Dishes have so many ingredients that each bite tastes different. The dishes matched ingredients and flavors that I have never before seen togehter. The presentation may be the best in Houston. The wine list is not so brilliant. They did not have some of the wines listed, and the wines they did have were not imaginative. California Chardonnays and Cabs are not the best wines for this type of food, yet they dominate the list. The service also could use improvement -- we received attitude for not ordering bottled water and were never offered bread. Overall, though, this is a new treasure in Houston's food scene.
