I am a plus size woman and just had a gown made for performances (I'm an opera singer and recitalist). The fit was georgeous. The staff was quite careful with making sure that the dress did fit me comfortably while not fitting the dress too loose or too tight. They advised me of the materials and the style necessary to make sure that I looked my best as I gave them many pictures to consider (they made sure that of the choices given I selected the best dress for my figure and general style). They do measure carefully to make sure that my body type and shape is taken into account for the garment. For plus size women, this is quite important. I enjoyed working with Sew Special to make this dress something quite special. This is not a place to go to if you want a ""cheap"" gown. A successful garment will cost, but Sew Special makes the cost worth it. In the end, I have a dress that I can wear comfortably and look quite attractive on stage. The dress was not ""frumpy"" or ""mother of the bride"" looking. They do excellent beading, so if you desire a beaded formal garment, Sew Special is the best. By the way, parking is tight in the area, so best make appointments in the morning or early afternoon during the weekdays.
