Review content:
I discovered Clarke's in 1996 when the multi-switch on '87 Accord failed and I was in Portland. They did a great job repairing it. When I moved to the Portland area in 2000 I started taking the same car in for all the service it needed. They've always been able to get me in, even on short notice. Oil changes are quick, painless, done right, and 2/3 the price of the drive-through chain places that stripped my oil plug in the past. I've found them to be impeccably honest too. They replaced my engine several years ago and three months later the rear main seal failed. There was no way for me to know whether it was a new problem or a failed part they installed -- they could have ripped me off big-time, but they didn't. They covered the $800 repair, no questions asked, admitting that the seal they installed had failed. Parts at Clarke's can be a little spendy because they use factory/OEM parts, but the labour rates are competitive and the quality always great. I'm just sorry that I'm moving away. I hope I can find another shop that can compare.
