Review content:
It's hard not to love the vibe, September's really has a sharp, classy look. But when it gets right down to it, there are way too many ""good but not great"" restaurants in the Hendersonville area to be just ""another pretty face"", September's needed to excel in every area but fell short. The service was only mediocre, timing of the food delivery was terrible and a huge tray dropped by a waiter at an adjacent table, sending food splattering over one of my kids, didn't get so much as an apology. I didn't so much mind the 45 minute wait, (you expect that on a weekend) but it was insulting when the waitress kept saying ""about 5 more minutes"" after first telling us that the wait would be 20 minutes to a half-hour. The staff, while sharp and professional in appearance seemed disconnected and bordering on snobbish. The average-quality meals served at higher-than-average prices rounded out a consistently blase dining experience. I hope September's management gets a handle on just how much work they have ahead of them to compete for our hard earned dining dollars, but it would take a lot to make me give September's a second chance. First impressions are just too important.
Pros: Beautiful decor, great date destination
Cons: Food, service and price were equally disappointing
