Review content:
After reading the reviews, I, a Malaysian decided to try Cuisine Malaya. I took my husband & his business partners there. Satay was dissapointing as it was just cut up chicken breast and nothing authentic about it. Even the 'peanut sauce' that came with the satay doesn't have much peanut & instead the taste of soy sauce was quite overpowering. I ordered curry laksa & it was nothing like the curry laksa back home - the gravy was very weak (not enough coconut milk nor candlenuts); no dried tofu nor boiled eggs. Explaining to the servers that I want the food spicy but it wasn't even close when the food was served. I asked for 'sambal' (chilli paste with dried shrimp) but that wasn't spicy either. I was utterly dissapointed with the food as I wanted to introduce my husband & his business partners to Malaysian food. Overall, the service was good & friendly except for a particular server who scowled at me when I asked her to explain the peanut pancake.
Pros: Service
Cons: Food!
