Review content:
This place is my 2nd most favorite place to eat in the Twin Cities. (1st being The Willow Gate in Roseville )
If you are looking for a romantic night out at a ""fine steak house"" this is not the place. This is however the place to go on a regular basis if you enjoy hearty portions for an unheard of price these days. They also have daily specials that make it even cheaper, (Tonight is the Sirloin Steak, Tuesday.)
There are no waiters, you order at one end and walk along the ""lunch counter"" picking up items and putting them on your ""tray"" and you pay at the end. (Remember, cash or check only.)
It is family owned and we are lucky enough to know one of the owners daughters.
If you are looking for an affordable night out with an almost obscene portion of food, I highly suggest The Farmington Steak House. Just don't expect waiters, or fine linens.
Pros: Portions, Cost, Friendly Workers
Cons: No Credit Card, Cash or Check Only,
