Review content:
I am a school teacher in commerce city and one of the things I look forward to is an occasional lunch with co-workers at La Casa Del Rey. I have been eating there for over 20 yrs and I am amazed that they have been able to maintain a high level of consistency. As a former resident I watched this restaurant from its start and have seen it grow into a commerce city landmark . There is no question that the Atencio family is very proud of there restaurant and that is demonstrated in there food and by there staff. The one thing that people don't know is the how much the restaurant has given back to many people in and out of commerce city in fact I was approached about setting up some scholarships for vocational students and they give discounts for Commerce City school district employees. In today's world of everything being overpriced this is one restaurant that has worked hard to keep there prices, food quality, and portions balanced with the economy. On top of all that they are still generous and haven't lost touch with there roots and how they started. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Pros: Great Food, Great Service Cons: You might have to wait in line.
