Review content:
I bought a Dell laptop at Best Buy. I assumed that, with my Dell computer, I would be eligible for Dell service, which I have liked in the past. Within a day or two my new computer's wireless wasn't working right and I phoned Dell with my problem. It was then and only then that I learned that Dell doesn't support computers bought through Best Buy! A Google search turned up countless warnings - do not buy Dell through Best Buy, etc. I had all my paperwork, and nowhere did it indicate this fact. The only service available is a for-pay Best Buy service contract. I returned my laptop and - to add insult to injury - was charged a $170 ""restocking fee."" The store manager was unable to waive the fee, and unable to explain to me how Best Buy could expect that by NOT publishing this policy or even verbally notifying customers of this. they would ever be considered a top store. I will never buy anything at Best Buy again. I feel that they owe me my $ 170. Terrible, no-service place with at least one deceptive practice.
Pros: The stores are in convenient locations.
Cons: They sell Dell computers that are not eligible for Dell service, and they won't tell you this when you buy one!
