Businiess name:  Shade Hotel

Review content:
There are not a lot of nice hotels in South Bay that are actually on or within blocks of the beach (Beach House Hermosa is the other great option). Keep in mind that Manhattan is hilly and you'll still have about a two-block walk down to the beach. With the opening of Shade a few years ago, there is finally a trendy, boutique destination that is not only close to the beach, but it serves up a great bar scene in its own lobby and rooftop terrace bars. Although it doesn't have an ocean view, the rooftop bar has two jacuzzis that are more for atmosphere than soaking, numerous heat lamps for cool CA evenings, and tasty mojitos. Pros: New, Trendy and Great Roof Top Bar Cons: Pretty Expensive, Can Be a Pickup Scene
