Review content:
We've been to Metro Eye several times now, and remain VERY impressed with the operation. Over the years we've been to a number of others, and Dr. Jankowski & Company are at the top of our list. It's possible to get someone on a ""bad day"" and with a service as personal as eye care that will be a huge negative. It may be THE business, along with barbering and styling of hair, where the rapport with the provider is hugely important. Personally, that issue has not happened to us --- at Metro Eye but when I read negative comments about a place sprinkled in with glowing ones, I figure that might be the issue. The only reason I am giving 5 stars instead of 4 is pricing. I am always blown away by the price of eye wear, no matter where I have gone. So I HAVE tried the ""low end"" places, and have given up on them (for the time being at least) because it just may be (surprise surprise, huh?) that you do get what you pay for. At Metro Eye, there are no bargains as far as I can tell --- but the service and selection are outstanding. So THAT choice is yours, obviously. If I were to give advice, it might be: if concerned about cost, tell the staff you are not wanting to pay hundreds more for something that's not really clearly worth the difference in price. Not sure how much difference it would make to do that, but since this is such a ""personal"" kind of business, might be good establish and communicate your thoughts right off the top.
