I've been involved in purchasing 4 houses over the years, and this was the worst by far. I have had nothing but problems trying to get Starter (and Innovative Realty - owned at least in part by the same people) to live up to their promises. Besides the ""little"" things, like having to fight to get every repair actually done, they refused to do things such as repairs faulty floors, supply screened loam bed for the lawn (there were boulders over a foot wide in it! - I have pictures!) and supplying the amount of water the well was nominally supposed to produce. So far it has cost me over $10 thousand to repair what they didn't do. And yes, I spoke to a lawyer about it and was told that, in my state, you can't recover legal fees, so even if you win -- and he thought I probably would have -- it will probably cost more than the repairs. Bottom line - think twice before doing business with these guys.
