Review content:
We came to Pittsburgh on a USAIR flight from Miami. A passenger on the flight over heard us talking about going out to get a late bite and have some drinks. He told us that Gullifty's would be open until around 11:00 pm. Prior to checking in at the hotel, we took the cab straight to what would be the restaurant from hell. We arrived at 10:05 to be told by a young lady(manager) that the only food we could get would be dessert. Upon asking why only dessert, she said that she had sent all the cooks home and she would be dammed if she was going to cook for us. My husband, friends and I were taking back a few steps by her brash statement. This was the welcome that we got in Pittsburgh at the restaurant that has a sign on the front of the building that states open until midnight. My husband walked into the bar area to see a cook walk out of the kitchen area and tell the bartender his food was ready. The cook then light up a cigarette and sat at the bar to watch the TV. My husband asked the bartender if we could eat in the bar area. His immediate reply was, ""go down the street if you want to eat"". Well, we did go down the street to a nice little grille and had a great meal with drinks. Our total bill was $180.00 4 meals and way to many martinis. We told our waiter the story about what happened at Gullifty's, he laughed and said that he gets 20-30 customers every week with the same story. He said it puts about an extra $200.00 in his pocket every week.
Pros: They send you down the street to the Murray Grille
