Review content:
With such a storic history we entered Guy Savoy with much excitment and anticipation, unfortunately it fell short of the mark. Both of us ordered the tasting menu, and while the food was outstanding, for $1400 for two people we felt there should be more to the experience then the food. The service was very stuffy...we never felt relaxed...almost afraid to carry a conversation in regular voice tone....there is no need for the servers to ask you if the food is great on each course....just a little bit to much stroking of your own ego if you ask me...our somellier spilled wine on the table cloth two times, now this might sound very prudish...but for that kinda of money and reputation....that was a true amature and almost Olive Garden mistake.
Pros: food, flavors
Cons: service
