What a great place, a total hidden treasure!!! My husband and I had just moved here to Cedar Park from Los Angeles, and we were looking for a good sushi restaurant without having to go downtown. I tried one nearby that wasn't that great, so I wasn't expecting much in the area, when low and behold we found Hayashi in Cedar Park. WOW! The food was unlike any other sushi we have had anywhere. They make their own everything and I mean--everything! They make their own soy sauce that's low sodium. They make these great sauces for all their rolls. It's amazing. Miso, mangos and even strawberry sauces, I would have never thought to pair these particular tastes with sushi, but it is so tasty, not to mention so healthy. The staff was so helpful and the service absolutely impeccable. I got to sample a couple of sakes and loved this one, but I can't remember the name. If you go there, ask them to reccommend a good sake and you'll probably get something great. Apparently they have this amazing happy hour as well which we are definitely going to try. Sunday sounds like a good day to go. I read that they have $1 mimosas! Yum.....Oh, and don't let me forget to tell you about the ambiance....very modern and chic. Soooo L.A or New York! Love it. Reminds me of home. Check this place out!!!!!! Especially if you live nearby...save you a trip into town!
