Businiess name:  Blt Steak

Review content:
My girlfriend had just received her annual bonus, so we decided to splurge and eat and one of those ""nice restaurants"". BLT Steak had just opened, and we had heard about it from a friend who had eaten at the one in NYC. So we decided to give it a shot. BLT Steak is part of the Sunset Plaza, which if you're not familiar with the area, means free parking! You don't need to use the valet (in fact, I encourage you not to if you eat here since you'll need the extra $$) -- you can park in the Sunset Plaza parking lot for free. So apparently BLT is known for their popovers. They give them to you and say ""this is what we're known for"". They even come with a recipe card so you can go home and try making them yourself. They were ok, nothing to write home about. We ordered the porterhouse steak for two, which was $88 (thought we'd save a little by splitting). They brought it out in a room-temperature cast iron pan with a huge slab of butter on top of it. The only problem was that the butter wasn't melting...at ALL! We each took a couple bites and decided to send it back. Note: I NEVER send things back! They apologized and brought it back out, but the damage had been done. It looked and tasted like they had reheated it in the microwave or something. Anyway, I figure if I pay $88 for steak, the butter better darn be melting by the time I get it. Good steakhouses know how to do it right. A couple weeks later I went to Outback Steakhouse and it was 100 times better (and cheaper). And from now on, for those special occasions, I'll stick with Ruth's Chris or Mastro's thank you. Pros: Free parking Cons: Cold steak, expensive
