Businiess name:  Nicor Gas

Review content:
Our gas was shut off today without prior notice. I just made a payment five days ago with a rep at Nicor and was assured that everything was fine. She even told me that in September I would be eligible for either a deferred payment arrangement or budget plan (my choice). Needless to say when I got home today my service was interrupted. I called paid the balance (even though I was pissed because this could have been avoided if I had gotten the proper information when I talked to the rep) and was told that the payment I made with the rep wasn't enough to keep my service on. Well why in hell didn't she tell me that??? After I made my payment in full with my credit card I was given a reconnect date for 7 days later. I told them that I had a young child who has severe asthma and an elderly aunt that lives with me but they didn't care. I asked why the date was so far ahead and they replied ""I got the first available business date from the computer."". This is the pitts how am I suppose to feed my kids without gas, use my dryer or take a hot bath or shower??? Is this suppose to be some sort of punishment for having your service interrupted even though it was no fault of your own. NICOR SUCKS!!!!
