The Tannery has some great shoes, particularly for those interested in comfortable European footwear. They are one of few Boston area stores that carry Stonefly and 1803 brand shoes. However the customer service leaves much to be desired, and I have ultimately decided not to patronize The Tannery anymore. I have had several unpleasant encounters with Tannery Staff; from a staff member scolding me about leaving my bag unattended, to several staff being generally unfriendly and acting disturbed if you ask for a shoe size. They make no effort to help find a shoe ior a size, nor do they attempt to make the shopping expereince somewhat pleasant. The shoes are generally more expensive than you would find in other stores, but again, they do carry some hard to find brands. Overall, I dont care for the Tannery. Pros: European Comfort Shoe Cons: Poor Customer Service
