Review content:
First off the gym has been really good for me. Second everything else needs improvement. The pushing sales people are super annoying and most of them look trashy, the 'ladies' that run the desks bring fast food into the gym and eat while ladies are sweating their butts off, the staff in general is not only clue-less but dangerous in instructing new people. I'm NOT talking about the group class instructors - they are certified and decent. I'm talking about the friends and relatives of whoever hires that are really sales people and pretend to know anything about working out. the 'new' sales ladies that won't even say hi to members If you're already paying them they don't give you the time of day. most of the equipment is good, there's a variety of free weights and a machine for nearly every muscle group. when the group classes are filled there is a lack of weights, several of the treadmills are constantly broken, the ceilings leak so there are wastebaskets in the walkway of several rooms. I do like the private changing areas but it doesn't make for the overall crappy-ness . The gym was good for me because I hired a private (not a BAER) trainer where I work and learned how to properly work out and lift weights when I joined (read strong armed) ladies fitness. I made the gym work for me by going in the early mornings when the equipment is available and the staff doesn't try and talk you up. No, I don't have any friends that I want to join - STOP asking. I have a copy of my contract and intend on using it because I've already paid for it. I also plan to use the staff's general lack of skills and thinking ability to my advantage. I joined in August and paid for 4 years. I got a call in November from a staff member asking me if I wanted to renew. I told her I still had till the next August. She was just silent. So next year when I get a call I'm going to say 'I've still got another year.' I think it'll work given the low quality that the gym keeps hiring.
Pros: all ladies
Cons: staff vacuums and are tricky
