That was their excuse for our 2 and a half hour meal last night. "sorry the kitchen is behind" sorry, your table is not ready, "we are behind" "sorry we are down a chef." We visited last month and had a nice experience sitting on the patio. We brought two friends last night who were not happy to be served dinner at 10PM with a 8 PM reservation.. An offer of a free drink, dessert, anything probably would have eased the pain, but, iI guess the french in them prevented such a move toward and ugly american :) What a shame since the food is so good. Nights like this will destroy a great restaurant. Shame on them for bad management.
