Review content:
Some of the permanant dealers here used to have stores ""in town"" and opted to avoid high rents & longer work weeks by being here instead. Love the spice lady and the vintage western wear booth. The Indian jewelry vendor in the front (lots of glass topped cases) is very knowledgable, and prices are good for his high quality wares--some of his old out-of-pawn pieces are amazing.... The jewelry lady in the far right back corner knows her stuff as well, and has reasonable prices. Rugs seem great, but not within my area of expertise. Some booths have great folk art, a few have junk--but isn't that what a flea market is all about? A very nice afternoon---or long morning of strolling under the blue New Mexico sky. Haven't tried the on-site food, but it smells good & looks authentic! I'd suggest that you stop at Tesuque Village Market for lunch (or a killer breakfast ) on your way out) instead!
Pros: Great jewelry prices/quality, interesting dealers/locals
Cons: can be muddy if rainy, and dust is a factor too!
