Review content:
I was seen here as a teenager by Dr. Gabiliani. I disclosed to her within the first 5 sessions that I had been sexually abused in the past and was experiencing ongoing verbal and psychological abuse by my parents. Not only did she fail to notify DCFS but told me she ""didn't even want to hear"" about the past sexual abuse. I was often called a ""little b***h"" and blamed for ruining my parent's lives. My diagnosis was changed to borderline personality disorder at age 15 and I was referred to Dr. Kriesmen who had already decided what medication I should be on before even speaking to me. I was told I needed electro-convulsive therapy, constantly threatened with unneeded hospitalization, and told I'd need to be on medication forever (despite continuing symptoms of toxicity) because I was ""too hard to control"" without it. I already had severe (untreated) PTSD when I began seeing people in this group and their treatment only worsened it. Cons: failed to report child abuse, verbally abusive, misdiagnosed
