I absolutely love this restaurant!!! I came in once with my parents and another time with two of my friends for one of their birthday. Everyone is so sweet and you are greeted so warmly by all of the staff. My favorite part about dining here is when they come out with the bread basket - they have the most and BEST bread selection out of any restaurant I've been to. And they're food....delicious. My favorite is the grilled salmon and lobster risotto. My family is from Italy and I will say that Sorrento has the best risotto in Houston. The service was also outstanding. They were very generous and were very ""on top of things"". The owner also come to our table and thanked us for dining there, which made me feel very welcomed. The desserts is a whole other story. Compared to my grandmother's famous recipe, the bread pudding is fa-nominal and definitely the BEST I've ever had. Also on my friends birthday dinner, they came out with a chocolate dessert with a beautiful presentation including a candle. The pianist also played ""Happy Birthday"", which was a nice touch. Overall, I really enjoyed this restaurant. The hostesses are very sweet and the service is the best in Houston. This Italian restaurant will forever be my favorite place to come enjoy a nice meal, whether it's with family, my girlfriends, a date, or even a coworker. I will definitely be a returning customer and recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the best Italian restaurant in Houston!!
