In celebration of my husband's graduation from law school, we decided to make reservations for our whole family to have dinner at The Acorn -- a place we had heard was wonderful, but didn't know much about. The day of our dinner reservation, I received a call from Nathan, the manager at the restaurant, asking if we were celebrating any special occasion. I told him we were, in fact, celebrating, and he chatted with me for a good 15 minutes, just getting to know who would be attending dinner, where we might like to sit, what kind of atmosphere we were looking for, etc. I was extremely impressed by his friendliness, but still wasn't prepared for the fantastic experience we were soon to have. When we arrived with our large group, we were greeted by Nathan, who ushered us to a big table on the first floor and assured us that we would be treated like ""VIP's"" for the night -- he was right! We were given a champagne toast, a chef's tasting, and wine pairings -- all with congratulations from the wait staff and management. In addition, the food was cooked to perfection and the flavors were exquisite. We ended up staying and talking until everyone else in the restaurant had left! Our parents were greatly impressed, we all had a fabulous time, and our families STILL talk about what a great dinner we had at The Acorn! My husband and I have since gone back again for his birthday and had the same wonderful experience. So, if you haven't tried The Acorn yet, GO! Go now! :) Pros: Everything! Cons: Nothing -- everything was perfect!
